EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AT ARIZONA WESTERN COLLEGE & THE YUMA BRANCH CAMPUS OF NORTHERN ARIZONA UNIVERSITY

Emergency, disasters, accidents, injuries and crime can occur without warning at any time. Being physically and psychologically prepared to handle unexpected emergencies is an individual as well as organizational responsibility.

These Emergency procedures have been developed to assist in minimizing the negative effects from such events. Please read this guide thoroughly before an emergency occurs, become acquainted with the contents, and keep the flipchart version available in your office for immediate reference. Do not file the flipchart! Once you are familiar with the information enclosed, you will be better prepared to protect yourself and your co-workers.

In the event of an emergency at Arizona Western College officials will activate the District Wide Emergency Notification system. The information system will give information regarding the emergency along with any instructions.

If you have questions concerning a unique situation not covered in this reference or need additional emergency information, please contact the AWC Campus Police Department at 314-9500 or the Director of Risk Management at 314-9474.

Any situation occurring outside college business hours should be reported to Campus Police.
